Sandbox Theatre is:
Megan Campbell Lagas
Evelyn Digirolamo (Ensemble Member since 2013)
Evelyn is a performer, theater maker, aerialist, and teaching artist based in the Twin Cities. She has a passion for ensemble creating and loves incorporating dance, aerial arts, puppetry, stage combat, rock climbing (yet to happen in a show, but here’s hoping), and doing massive amounts of research. You may also catch her teaching socioemotional skills through the arts with Upstream Arts, imbuing humans with the gift of flight on aerial silks, and leading therapeutic dramatic play with the ALIVE program. She is always looking to engage with something physically impossible, thought-provoking, beautiful, and bizarre. Outside of Sandbox, she has also performed with Off-Leash Area, Mad Munchkin Productions, Teatro del Pueblo, Pangea World Theater, The Gonzo Group Theatre, Shakespeare and Company, Dolan//Heeringa, Historical Perspectives for Children, the Murder Mystery Improv Company, and the Barbara Schneider Crisis Actor Troupe, for whom she does intensive one-on-one scenarios for medical staff and law enforcement to teach de-escalation techniques. In other news, she was a co-founder of AEthem Theatre Company, with whom she created, performed, and directed for 3 years. As for accolades, she performed in the local film Ghost Light which received the award Best Ensemble in a Feature Dramedy at the Best Actor’s Film Festival in San Francisco. She is also a recipient of the Minnesota Regional Arts Council’s 2016 Next Step Fund Grant with which she is expanding her aerial theater work. Once upon a time, Evelyn received her Bachelor Degree in Theater Arts from Bethel University.
