For the past 14 years Tim has been composing, directing, and performing music in theater, film, installation, and live performance under his umbrella organization, The Eclectic Ensemble.
Tim started his musical life in high school as a bassist. He spent four years in the Jazz Band and three years in Orchestra. During that period Tim studied music composition for two years. Realizing the need for greener pastures, Tim left the plains of North Dakota for the Mid-West cultural Mecca of Minneapolis. After four years of composing and performing in the abstract and experimental music scene of Minneapolis, Tim started touring a small circuit East if the Mississippi doing sound installation, theater, and audio technician work. This touring came to a close with a yearlong music and culture study in Southeast Asia and India before returning to Minneapolis.
