Ryan Hill

Ryan has a Theatre and German degree from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN, is a Fulbright Scholar and alumnus of director Robert Wilson's Watermill program. He has been either Project Lead, performer, playwright or set designer (or any combination of the four) in every Sandbox production. He has created new work with local troupes 15 Head: a theatre lab and Live Action Set as well as companies in Berlin (lubricat theatergruppe 1997-98) and New York (the locust factory 1998-03). He also performed in the American premiere of the Robert Wilson/Tom Waitts version of Woyzeck at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2002. Published work includes The Ferry, a 2004 Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Play Festival winning play. His plays have been seen locally with Thirst and Hardcover Theatre and with various small theatres in New York, Berlin and Beijing.
